Only $19 still needed on a $500 match! Shares needed.

Yesterday's weather required the crew to postpone work — they had planned to try it after the rain stopped, but it was too wet, slippery, and windy to do the next stage safely, so Wings called them and told them to hold off until today. It's breezy today and very cold at the moment, but bright and sunny and dry — good weather for working 11 feet off the ground.

For me, this is my busiest day of the week, and it just got busier, and I'll be doing it all on exactly zero sleep. That means that the post for Wings's site will likely not go up until tonight, and I will also likely not be around much, so I'm posting the share request now before I'm effectively out the door for the day. Last night, our beloved belinda ridgewood posted a diary for us at the GOS, announcing $500 in matching funds. We only need to raise another $19 to complete the match, so shares are doubly helpful (yes, I know you see what I did there) this morning.

If all goes as currently planned, the framework on the upper level will begin sometime tomorrow. At that point, I should have some new photos, and the look of the house will change very fast from this point forward. If we can keep the work funded, it won't be long before they're mudding in the adobe and plastering both inside and out. If we can raise the funds needed, they'll have us in the house by Thanksgiving, give or take a day or two. As cold as it is this morning, it's a reminder that winter weather will be here before the turkey and parades, so we need to do everything we can to make that deadline a reality.

So please keep sharing the link to our YouCaring page via the widgets provided, especially via the widget code from the box at lower right, which gives you the running tally you see above. Please also keep sharing the link to Wings's site; sales are the baseline for funding this project, and they are also what pay day-to-day expenses. Wings is also already starting on holiday commissions (he has to start this far out to ensure that everything is completed and shipped in time for the holidays), so if you're contemplating commissioning something this year, please get hold of me via the site's Contact form.

Many thanks to everyone who has helped us get this far, and given us a flying start on this final compound phase of work. I'll be back online late today to check in, and try to get caught up later in the week.
