Miracles and hope, and one foot in front of the other.

We lost Coyote on Sunday. Yesterday morning, there was a miracle on her beloved Christmas tree: a bunch of new sprouts, with more ready to open, and new tiny branches around the trunk. They were not there the night before, after a month of dead-tree-ness.

So, after dismantling it, we planted it — a yard or so from her resting place. It may not take, but what else are miracles for but hope? Afterwards, I felt her spirit with us again, so the world is a little less gray this morning, if not by much.

Still not up for anything beyond the work. Waiting for word on the tow truck; supposed to be around 10 AM. While we wait to see how bad the financial damage is, here are the links for sharing (or using, if anyone's so inclined):
  • My Patreon, The Interstices (Writing Between Worlds) (and if you subscribe today you won't be billed until January 1st for December);
  • Wings's site, for sales, with lots of new items posted;
  • Wings's direct PayPal link;
  • A way to buy me coffee (which actually goes to all of our medical bills, which continue to mount);
  • Amazon wishlist, which mostly consists of animal and household stuff;
  • Partial registry #1, from Bed, Bath and Beyond. There are new kitchen-y things on it now, stuff that I didn't realize we'd need to replace (either because the RV ruined it or because we gave it away when we had to downsize).
Our girl is in day 2 of her journey to the spirit world. Meanwhile, we have to put one foot in front of the other down here, and I need to get moving.
