A little moonrise magic.

After what was a hard day yesterday, Grandmother gave us a little moonrise magic last night. She wasn't quite full yet (that would be just before 10 AM today, entirely out of view), but you wouldn't have known it from. looking at her, balanced there on the highest tip of Spoon Mountain.

We take our blessings where we find them.

Yesterday was rough, losing Bent Beak; so was today, having had to bury her first thing this morning. Such a small spirit, but such a big presence. And one final gift: As we were in the process of burying her, one her Americauna sisters, Daffodil, was running around squawking with that particular "I'm about to lay an egg!" tone in her voice. Sure enough, a while later, I found Daffy in the green metal wall trough of the small stall, where Wings has always kept a little hay for them to nest in. She was sitting proudly on top of the year's first egg, pale turquoise and perfectly formed.

It all goes around, again and again.

Of course, that was another project that set me back again, time-wise, and I'm already trying desperately to get caught up on a bunch of the things I haven't been able to do this last week, having been so sick with this godforsaken lupus flare. It's slowly easing a little each day now (never by enough, but at least there's a measurable difference now), so I'm trying my best to get things done.

Among that list of things I need to do is still the need to make sales, and that new heart bracelet may in fact be done late today. [Yes, I know, I said that yesterday, but we weren't expecting to lose one of the flock, nor were we expecting to need to prep for weather that now may never materialize.] Links are here, and there's a lot of new work up, with more to come:
  • Sales here
  • Testimonials here
  • Amazon wishlist here (priorities are first and foremost, the other ladder and the Bissell vac);
  • Patreon here;
  • Ko-fi here.

We're still hoping to put aside enough for a new well when the ground thaws enough to drill in the spring, too, so now's always a good time to make a purchase. And there's lots of fabulous new work, so please share all of the links.
