At dawn, there wasn't a single cloud in the sky. By late morning, there were thunderheads everywhere, big black bases already in evidence. 

Still no sign of rain, though.

And I have to make it rain metaphorically now. The roof is leaking, and so is the deck, and we have to install gutters under the latter. The former is going to take something more. It's brai, otherwise known as torchdown roofing, and apparently it was not done correctly. This is not the time of year to have it fail, but here we are.

Like I didn't have enough on me already. Now I have to figure out how to fund these two.

The last several days have seen us both just slammed with the workload, so many other things intervening that need immediate attention that I haven't even been able to get to my usual work until evening. It's been this way since . . . I don't know, four or five days? More? When was the 4th? I don't even know what day of the week it is anymore. I haven't had time to think. About anything. What doesn't get done doesn't get done, not until I can get to it, and the rest of the week ain't looking too likely, either. And I cannot get time, never mind money, for the bare minimum of things I need, like daily work, or cancer imaging.

And the expenses from last year and the first half of this year broke us so badly that we're way behind on every single thing now. Generating income is all that matters at this point, which means sales are all that matters. Wings redid the new cuff, so I expect to have it tonight, as well as a new wristband, possibly; sometime soon, he'll have a few new pairs of simple bezel-set gemstone earrings, too [turquoise, fossilized mammoth tooth, rose quartz, Picasso jasper all currently in the mix]. But apart from recent sales and so forth, we are still way, WAY behind on this year, and I will probably need to make sales at a rate of at least two per week for the rest of the year for us to catch up [and that's just breaking even].
