Jewels and Gems: Sand Paintings and Weathered Roses

Now posted at The NDN Silver Blog, it's this week's edition of our ongoing Jewels and Gems series. Today, it's a stone that will probably be new to most readers, although it's ancient, formed (and transformed) over time on a geologic scale. Today's post also features something else that's unusual: one of the pieces that Wings created from my own design, built around this specific stone.

The post itself is here. Wings's main page is here. Shares of the site links are especially needed right now*, and welcomed with thanks. As always these days, Contact form for inquiries.

*About that: Yesterday's attempt at getting the hay in was a fiasco, one that risked an almost total loss [a result of the guy who does it being perpetually late and thus putting us right smack in the middle of the forecast rain. No, there's nothing we can do about that; this is an issue no matter who we hire to do it. This is something wholly out of our control, and since we don't have a tractor of our own, it's a recurring problem each year.] At any rate, the forecast has eased off for the moment, and he's back, so we're hoping that the latest turning will permit baling such that it doesn't set the hay barn on fire, and doesn't lose an entire crop for the winter. Either way, though, it's going to be expensive, and we'll be writing a big check at the end of the day that will more or less finish us until mid-September. So please, share the site links. We need to make sales. Thanks.
