Friday Feature: Early Autumn Winds

It's our Friday Feature at The NDN Silver Blog, and this month, we'll be highlighting the work of a friend, the nephew of a man we both considered friend and brother. This week, it's a beautifully simple little piece that's perfect for the season, a powerful spirit in vintage guise, deceptively modest in size and price.

The post itself is here. Wings's main page is here. As always, shares are much needed and much appreciated.

  1. We could use some winds around here, it's calm and hot.
Your tweet was good timing, I'd been wondering what to do for your birthday, and I'd always rather get people things they need than random things I think they'd like. I ordered the pillow with it too, although you hadn't specified that. After you've tried it out for a while, let me know how it works, I might end up getting one for Amy for her migraines and fibro.

    1. I cannot thank you enough for this! OMG, the prospect of real sleep is just . . . [speechless]. I will absolutely let you know how it works. Did I already know that Amy also has fibro? I seem to have some vague memory of that. If this works, yes, because if she's like me, lack of sleep is a constant battle, and therefore a constant cause of flares.

Thank you for the pillow, too. I dunno whether that's kind of required or not; I figured the wedge was enough for a start. my issue is apparently a combination of the damage to my neck and my heart pumping too much blood to my head during the night. Elevating my head above my chest helps, but I cannot sleep properly on my back, and on my side destroys my neck and I get the migraines anyway. :-P

Oh! Forgot to ask - did you ahve it shipped to the street address or the P.O. box? If the latter, we'll know to watch for the slip.

Thank you, darlin'. I think sleep is probably the single most valuable birthday gift anyone could give me right now. :-D

    2. PO Box, I don't think I ever knew you had a street address. I've always sent everything to the Post Office.

    3. LOL - well, half the time we DON'T, at least according to most shippers. They can't ever seem to find the highway in their databases, although it's a numbered state road. It's also complicated by the fact that our physical address and our box are in two different zips controlled by two different post office branches, so things get weird. P.O. box is great as long as they're willing to ship to it. If you ever run up against somebody who refuses to ship to P.O. boxes just message me for the physical address. Although they'll likely tell you ti doesn't exist, at least on the first go-round., :-D
