an air spirit who, tiny brazen bandit that she is, sits smug and secure in her weathered wooden camouflage and soaks up the morning sun

  1. Harbingers of the cold. Any news on whichever stage was next? Plumbing and foundation pouring? I'm hoping the weather isn't turning too fast to get that done sooner, rather than later. We had a hard frost last night, and I'm considering how to use the firewood I haven't cut all the way down to size to put an ad hoc cold frame around the garlic bed with the brussels sprouts and cabbage at the end. I think I can do it just with the wood and a large sheet of clear plastic.
