Within literal seconds of hitting "publish" here last night, we got some sketches via e-mail. I mean, we're talking two seconds, maybe three. I was too wiped to deal with updates (and am barely functional now, but I can post this, at least). This is an early draft of the ground floor layout, mostly to scale, rooms subdivided probably mostly as they will be once the house is built. There will be a lot of changes in the next couple of weeks and beyond, but they're likely to be minor in the scheme of things.
Ten days out from what may very well be the point at which we can schedule the excavation and trenching work. Then laying the pipe and whatever the electrical geniuses need to do before a foundation goes in . . . and then things really start to move.
What this means, of course, is that we need your help. We're nearly to 20% of our goal for Stages II and III of this process, but we need a couple hundred more to make it. Ideally, I'd like to hit the 25% mark by the end of this week, if possible. That's just shy of a grand overall. So please, continue to share the link to our YouCaring page. Please do so via the widgets on the page itself, and if you're posting text about it, please include this additional widget, if possible:
You can find it on the lower right-hand side of the YouCaring page, and it updates automatically.
I've posted a version of this as an update on the fundraising page, as well. Many thanks from both of us to everyone who has donated, shared the links, and otherwise supported out efforts. I'm starting to believe it's real.
