On our way to 25% of goal — please share!

We passed the 20% mark last night on this stage of our effort to build a real home at long last. This stage (actually, stages, plural) is a far more costly proposition than Stage 1 last fall; we're trying to raise $15K, which, coupled with what we have put aside already, should fund the excavation and trenching, the laying of pipe and wiring, the foundation and framework, and give us at least a start on putting up the adobe walls. At the moment, I'd like to raise another $700 before next Wednesday, which is our next target date in this process; that will put us at 25% of the larger goal.

I know y'all are tired of me nagging at you — believe me, you're not half as tired of it as I am; I honestly hate this — but please, keep sharing the link. You never know who'll see it and decide to kick in in a big way. In the meantime, rest assured that we're paying the generosity forward on virtually a daily basis; right now, we're working with someone who desperately needs a shot at getting his life together, for himself and for those depending on him, and we're doing our best to provide as moral and material support as we can.

So please, keep sharing the link to our YouCaring page. It's best if you can use the widgets on the page itself; if it doesn't work with your browser, cutting and pasting the link will produce a similar effect. And if you're posting about it elsewhere, please grab the widget from the lower right-hand corner of the page. Many, many thanks to everyone who has helped us get to this point, whether through donations, link shares, moral support, or all of the above.
