Indigenous Arts: Pointing the Way, Blazing the Trail, Mapping the World

Now posted at The NDN Silver Blog, it's this week's entry in our series on Indigenous Arts. This week, we continue with the theme of popular Native symbolism, but as always, we deconstruct the artificial pop-culture notions surrounding it, seeking the older and truer form beneath. Today, we explore concepts of directionality, from pointing the way to blazing the trail to mapping the world, and all points in between.

The post is here. Wings's main page is here. Several of the works depicted have already sold, but many (including the photo at the end) remain available for purchase; simply inquire via the site's Contact form. And, as always, sales are much needed, so shares of the site links are much appreciated.
