Steel and Scratch

The morning began with this: cutting the rebar, into appropriate lengths.

Before long, the footing looked like this:

Then, more cutting.

Now, it looks like this:

Tomorrow afternoon, the cement truck arrives.

By Monday, theoretically, we will pay the plumbers $6K; not long thereafter, $5,200 down to the electrician. Since I don't actually have conjuring skills, all I can do is ask folks to share the link to our YouCaring fundraiser. Please share via the widgets on the page itself, and scroll down to the lower right-hand corner and grab the widget code to post this image everywhere you can:

We only need to raise $4 grand to close out this Youcaring page. And we need to be able to do that, because the walls are going to start going up the first of the week. We need to be able to pay the deposits to the plumber and electrician to get this under way, which means that I need to post the next stage of the fundraiser to try to conjure enough scratch to do that.

Many thanks to everyone who's shared, donated, and otherwise given us a hand so far. Please keep sharing the link: You never know who'll feel led to donate.
