Work resumes in 12 hours. We'll need a lot of shares this week.

This weekend was long on complications and short on rest, and over far, far too soon. Twelve hours from now, the guys will be back at work on the house (and if all goes as currently planned, the hay gets dropped tomorrow evening, making for an extraordinarily long day).

I hope I'll have some new photos tomorrow, but I've learned the hard way not to make promises until I know exactly what's going to happen. And a lot is slated to happen this week: finishing the blocking; installing the ceiling; beginning the upper-level framing; meeting with the guy who's supposed to do the staircase. And it's all going to cost. A LOT.

Things are moving fast now. So is the flow of money — all outward. That pace is only going to increase from this point forward. It was 35 degrees (yes, you read that right) at 7:00 this morning, on a day when it is still, allegedly, summer. That means that it's a near-certainty that it got down to freezing before dawn, if only briefly. As of this morning, there are huge patches of gold on the sides of every peak, and we'll have a full-fledged aspen line running down the slopes within a day or two.

Winter is coming.

We are going to need a lot of shares this week. A LOT OF THEM. We've got to get as far as we can before the snow arrives, and it will be here much sooner than it should (thank you, anthropogenic climate change). So please share the link to our YouCaring page daily via the widgets provided on it, particularly via the widget code from the purple box at lower right that give you the running tally shown above. Please also share the link to Wings's site daily; sales keep the lights on and food on the table, and also help keep the crew paid and materials purchased.

Many thanks to everyone for your help thus far. I've got a long way to go to catch up to where I need to be (and a ridiculously long task list for this week, combined with an inability to walk freely at the moment). But the construction has a long way to go yet, too, and time is telescoping fast. We're going to need shares for a while longer, on a consistent basis.
