We now have the beginnings of an upper story. The guys managed all of that wall just yesterday.
I mentioned last night that they did the insulation and waferboard on Wednesday; this was what that looked like:

They are incredibly neat with their work. Also incredibly fast.
They'll be back first thing Monday morning, working on getting the rest of the upper-level framework up. They'll be done by the end of the week. Which means that the following Monday is going to be spectacularly expensive, because they'll need to have the roofing materials delivered, at least in part. That's a cool $5,300, in one chunk.
We have eleven days (okay, so just over ten, really) to raise the roof (or at least the funding for it). So we'll continue to need daily shares of our YouCaring page via the widgets provided. Especially useful is the widget code from the box at lower right, which produces this:
And, of course, we continue to need shares of Wings's site. Sales pay the bills and fund the construction, and we're already into the season for holiday commissions; he's been hard at work in the studio for weeks now. If you do want to discuss the possibility of commissioning something for the holidays, get hold of me via the site's Contact form.
Thank you to everyone for getting us to this point. Now that it's in the 20s every morning, we need to get quite a bit further quite a bit faster, so we need everybody's help with shares for this three-stages-rolled-into-one. We're getting close, and soon I may even have time to catch up on everything outstanding.
