This photo pleases me out of all proportion to its appearance. There's something so satisfying about seeing the space of two closets lined up exactly with the door to the outside world, particularly when it was accidental.
Serendipitous.

We have a very long way to go, though, before we get there.
We still need about $1,300 to cover the cost of all the roofing materials, work that begins bright and early Monday morning. Day after tomorrow Monday morning. There is currently a $750 match on offer from an anonymous soul, which, if met, will be converted instantly to $1,500. Any overage will go straight to the next task, which is the plastering, a process that will begin in conjunction with finishing the roof. The goal is to get it closed in, at the least, by the end of the month.
And so, yes, we still need to push daily shares of our YouCaring page via the widgets provided, especially via the widget code from the box at lower right, which will give you this image:
We also need continued shares of Wings's Web site, which pays the bills, takes care of emergency expenses like the horse vet, and also helps fund construction of the house. Folks planning holiday commissions should also contact me now; Wings has already begun special orders, and you'll want to get yours in the queue in time for holiday delivery.
Many thanks to everyone for all your help in getting us this far along. This final compound stage will be especially difficult, coming as it does as we head into the holiday season, so consistent shares become increasingly important. In the meantime, I'm doing my best to catch up; the colder the weather gets, the slower I get at everything, but I'm working on it, believe me.
