On this day, as I sat at my own duties outside, I looked up . . . and it was there, the hole in the clouds. It was a day of extraordinary skies, feathers and ribbons and braids and great bold creatures made of water and light swimming through the atmosphere. But the hole in the clouds was blue.
Indigo.
It wound its way around and through the puffy white water and light and the smoky veils of gray, wending its way through and into and upward, height and depth from the same vantage point, an indigo void leading to a place beyond reach and beyond conceiving.
