The Blue of Water and Sky

Now posted at The NDN Silver Blog, it's one of my favorites among Wings's current body of work, a simple, spare, elegant piece wrought in traditional fashion that holds lessons for us all. In this season of fierce cold and trickster winds that steal breath and the very marrow from bones, it reminds us that the same powers that plague our small existence give life, too — that there is no earth without the blue of water and sky, and the winds to deliver it.
