All new from NDN Silver: Announcing The Beaded Hoop Collection, Wings's latest signature series. I noted a week or two ago that this would be coming, but I wasn't sure it would drop as soon as today. As it happens, he completed the first two . . . and there will be no more for a few days, because he discovered that he was nearly out of findings in the correct size. So the next several that are in the works will have to wait a few days; he'll be ordering the findings when the supplier opens again tomorrow.

The first entry is the one shown above, Petals of Summer. I'm not normally one who's much for pinks and greens together (not much for pinks in any context, most of the time), but I love this combo. It's both soft and bright simultaneously, perfect for early summer when the colors (and hopefully the winds, too, although not here) are still gentle. You can read the full description here.

The second one is all turquoise, and gave him a chance to use a decent percentage of the freeform nugget beads of varied sizes that were threatening to overrun his storage cases. This one is called River of Sky, and it's rather stunning with those seven distinctive focal beads at the center. It's very bright, too — all classic shades of turquoise, robin's-egg blue and sky blue and hints of teal green, all shot through with patches and webs of matrix ranging from silvery pyrite to inky black to delicate gold shades. A note about pricing: These debut at an entry price point of $375, and that will very likely be mostly the standard for this length, but . . . in the event that he uses more costly beads, and/or constructs longer necklaces, that will change. Think of $375 as a floor, and perhaps mostly a usual price, but there will be some in this collection that are more expensive.
