All new at NDN Silver, it's a vintage style with a forward-looking spirit. These are Wings's latest, completed only this evening, and they are absolutely gorgeous. They're called First Snowfall, and the name fits them perfectly for this place where the first snow inevitably arrives while the grass is still mostly green. These are an old traditional style that more usually consists of vintage concha-style medallions set with individual stones and linked together; in this instance, they rise organically from an overlay setting, each layer produced entirely by freehand saw-work. They're also long — a full three and a quarter inches, excluding wires. You can read the full description here.
As always, there's a full inventory of traditional and contemporary Indigenous silverwork (and plenty of other Native art) here. Order via the site's Contact form here.
