If only human joy were so easily found.
I'm struggling right now, and it's nothing to do with the quarantine. It's everything to do with the constant death and pain and suffering and fear that surrounds us, the failures of . . . well, everything, and all that piled on top of my own unending physical pain and the uncertainty of these next few weeks. One of the artists whose work we've repped for probably a dozen years or more now walked on last night. Death seems to be everywhere these days. Certainly illness and suffering are. So is the irresponsibility of the colonial population; Wings had to get chain and acid from the hardware store up the road, and despite a big sign on the front door forbidding admittance without a face mask (and despite the law currently requiring it state-wide), only he and the staff were compliant. Every other customer was white, and NONE of them wore a mask or maintained social distancing measures.
I am not willing to let these people kill us for their bullshit, but damned if they aren't trying.
My ability to focus is almost nonexistent right now; I'm being pulled in too many directions at once, and the physical pain is excruciating, because the winds just won't let go and let summer weather do its thing. I also have no idea what we're going to do about this water situation. Still no word on cost estimates, and we can't afford it, regardless, but we need that well. And so, as always, I have to make sales, in an environment where nobody's buying.
The cut-and-paste: Please share all of our links, because while we're all in isolation? Income is already at virtually nothing, and we can survive the isolation, but not the inability to feed the maw of all the bills. The links are here:
Note: For now, please don't buy anything off the Amazon wishlist; to do so would be crossing a picket line, and some of their workers have struck this morning to fight for safer working conditions because their lives are being put at even greater risk during this pandemic. If you find one of the items elsewhere, wonderful (there's even a wishlist function where you can note that it's been purchased somewhere else).
Other than that, please share everything. Thanks.
