It's #ThrowbackThursday at The NDN Silver Blog, it's a work that was part of a group commission by a dear friend at this season four years ago. It's one in a set of three pins (with a fourth in a different, yet related form), each designed expressly to capture the spirts and gifts of her family members, this one radiant with the blessings of the first medicine and of the white light of winter.
The post is here. Wings's main page is here. This work obviously will never be duplicated exactly, but if the style speaks to your spirit, simply inquire via the site's Contact form; Wings can create a version uniquely your own. We were able to cover November's and most of December's monthly expenses and some additional costs, like more hay for the horses and and one load of firewood for the cold weather already here. [We have had to delay the plumbing fixes yet again, because this local pandemic spike is just too dangerous to have outsiders in at close quarters now.] But there's still the process of figuring out this water/well-drilling problem, we will need more firewood to make it through the winter, and calendar notwithstanding, winter is here, with sub-zero temperatures overnight. We need to make it out of this year alive and help others do the same. And since neither the drought nor the pandemic is going anywhere, we are still going to need consistent sales to make it through the whole winter (which, if the political and pandemic situations go sideways again — or, rather, still, will be bitter indeed for our communities), so shares of the site links are much appreciated.
