Yes, I know it's late; it's been a long day, and I'm running on fumes all the time now, courtesy of uncontrolled pain and virtually no sleep. But I promised new work by Wings today: another collection in miniature in his new gemstone bead series. This is the second 3-piece grouping in The Autumn Elementals; this one is Air (following on last night's Earth).
One thing I did not know yesterday when I posted them is that he was raising the prices in this series a bit, because of the cost of the materials used in it: Most of the beads are spectacularly high-grade material, and even at his cost, priced accordingly; most of those that are not part of the more newly-purchased gems are from his private collection of old, OLD beads, and those are both rare and high-value, too. So for this series, expect price points of $400 for the necklaces, $350 for the coils, and $175 for the earrings.
That out of the way, let's get to the work. As always in these series, each piece is sold separately and can stand entirely on its own, but the works in these trios are intended to coordinate. The necklace first, and as you can see, the image used in today's post at The NDN Silver Blog was clearly part of the inspiration for this grouping (the ones that will appear tomorrow were, too):

This one is called Shadows Beneath an Unbroken Blue, a reference to the way fall here manifests in sharp angles, low light, an earth scored and scribed by bright golden sun and darkling shadows, and all of it beneath a flawless, unclouded sky in a gradient of deep blues. [It's true that we're not getting so much of that now, but that's a function of the pall of wildfire smoke choking off everything, not any infirmity of sun or shadow or sky.] You can read the full description here.
Next, the earrings (and as always, the bead selection varies a bit, by design):

These are called The Green Glow of Guiding Stars, and it's a direct reference to a phenomenon that occurs here almost exclusively in fall: green skies. Yup, you read that right: In the impossible clarity of the moments of dawn and dusk, the sky itself is often so clear that the color forms a perfect gradient from blue to gold . . . with a visibly green middle, holding the morning and evening stars in its embrace. You can read their full description here.
And last but not at all least, the coil bracelet:
This one is called A Trickster Wind Through Turning Leaves, and it's how fall arrives here, especially now. This coil creates the same spiraling eddy as wind and leaves, but in all the shades of the whole season, not just the foliage: deep blue skies and shimmering black shadow, the gold of sun and leaves just turned, the greens that still remain for a few days or weeks yet. You can read its full description here.
Wings had hoped to have three more pairs of silverwork earrings ready to bring you today, but the last earrings was being recalcitrant, so he finished off the silverwork and will set the stones tomorrow. I'll bring you those here then.
For now, you can order today's new collection in miniature via the site's Contact form. And as I've been saying, we still URGENTLY need to make consistent sales to make it through September and cover all the coming new medical costs and other costs (taxes, weatherization, etc.), plus the rest of this terrible second pandemic-ridden year (one that has already been bitter indeed for our communities), so shares of the site links are much appreciated.
