I promised new silverwork earrings by Wings, and it may be late in the day, but I deliver! [He's rethinking one aspect of the peace-symbol earrings before he pronounces them complete, so those will have to wait a day or so.]
Stylistically, these are of a piece with the four new pairs that he dropped a couple of weeks ago, but these are substantially larger, with proportionally larger stones and beads (although they're not heavy!). This pair is called Eye of the Storm, and they feature a pair of incredible focals formed of large square cabochons of teal blue spiderweb turquoise and deep purple amethyst, stones linked to each other by paired hand-made sterling silver ingot beads with hand-stamped sunbursts radiating from the surface. The bezels share a single organic backing, and the pendants are Eyes of Spirit, created freehand, repoussé-fashion.. You can read their full description here. The photo doesn't do them justice, from their animating spirit and sense of motion to the deep jewel-toned intensity of the stones.
Selling any or all of Wings's recent new work, including these, would go far to getting us through October's expenses (made higher by the winterizing costs that accrue at this time every year, on top of quarterly taxes, animal work, and medical expenses for us both). Wings's main page is here. Inquiries via the site's Contact form. We URGENTLY need to make consistent sales to cover upcoming new medical costs and other expenses and make it through the rest of this terrible second pandemic-ridden year (one that has already been bitter indeed for our communities), so shares of the site links are much appreciated.
