That's been the sky to the southeast the last few hours . . . until, say, the last twenty or thirty minutes. Those dark blue clouds moved overhead, and we've had a little rain. Not a lot, but some, and it looks like there could well, be more to come. I hope so, because on the metaphorical front, I'm gonna need to make it rain again, too.
We've had some visitors, too: a Bullock's oriole today, scarfing down nectar out of the hummingbird feeder, right in the face of an absolutely furious hummingbird; the young red-tail; last night, my namesakes, in formation overhead, calling, but me without my camera. This is actually very late in the season for the cranes to migrate northward, but then again, it's been a very cold spring.
Looks like I spoke too soon on the truck. One thing that mechanic told Wings yesterday was to watch the warning light for the catalytic converter. He had re-set it, thinking it was an electrical issue, but told him to call if it came back on. It did, so Wings took the truck by this morning, and sure enough, half of it is hosed. A new manufacturer's version runs well over $4,200. Fortunately, he can pick up a refurbished one for probably around $800 (and of course, then there's the labor on top of it). So next week, it goes back in the shop, and we are not getting out of it without paying well into four figures after all.
So. Since it's like that, it's back to chasing sales. If Wings has the newest cuff and earrings done tonight, I'll have them plus the fabulous new big one that Wings finished a few days ago and I haven't been able to get to yet. As always, expect everything to be late; hips, knees, ankles, feet are all very bad right now, and both my hands have decide today that they're going to be uncooperative (and extremely painful) too. In the meantime, all the links are listed below, so please share:
- Sales here;
- Testimonials here;
- Amazon wishlist here (new priority, because I've been forced to eliminate another staple from my diet just to function rather minimally, and someone mentioned that perhaps our old non-stick pans, which are in fact long since well beyond their useful date, are making the matter worse, so there's a non-PFAS replacement set at the top that would help with cooking/cleanup/my hands/my illness; there's also a replacement for Wings's computer on it and a charging station; and yes, the Zero-Odor sprays are still useful right now, although these days it's dusty dogs, not wet ones);
- Patreon here;
- Ko-fi here.
There's lots of fabulous work on the site, so please share all of the links.
