I came back from visiting Miskwaki's resting place, and this little girl was waiting in the honeysuckle. I felt like she was maybe a messenger, sent by him to say that everything's fine where he is, everything's beautiful, and he and the rest of the herd are happy.

Two years today. And I still miss him every day. Yes, he big, because he was a horse, but even for his size, he was such an OUTSIZED personality. And such a good sweet boy, besides.

::Sigh:: so much loss over the years. The holes in my heart never get mended; they just get surrounded by more fractures.

At least work distracts me at times like this. Well, usually. Today's post didn't; it stuck me right in the middle of it. But the rest of this week is going to be geared around making sales, because I don't have a choice about that. I'm so tired after all the nonsense of this year to date, but I can't let up, because so far, we're not even breaking even on the year, and I will have to worry about next year's tax bill soon enough. I need to bring in at least on sale this week, preferably two or even three. And Spirit knows he's got a ton of new work up on the site:
