That was yesterday. We got a light five- or ten-minute shower out of it, nothing more. We were supposed to have rain today, and instead we have an impossibly dry wind that feels like the middle of fall.

Right now, the storms are as likely to be metaphorical as literal. Instead of making rain, they mostly take it, meaning it's always another gale-force expense. Apparently tomorrow is the only time the farrier can get here to see Miika for weeks, so we're going to try it without sedation. This could be ugly. It's also costly, but she has to have the work done.

I'm operating on virtually no sleep for the last three nights straight. Last night was the worst; I didn't even drop off until sometime after 5 AM, so my usual brain fog has mutated into something much worse today. Add to that the unbearable amount of joint pain — today alone, left hip, right knee, both Achilles tendons, right shoulder, and both hands and wrists — and I'm barely able to do anything at all. 

I'm on hiatus from everything except making sales, because the bills don't give a shit whether I can move or sleep or do anything or not. Which means that making sales has got to be my perpetual focus, and I can't do it alone. Wings has A LOT of new work, including one more new cuff I'll be posting today, so I'd be grateful to everyone who shares all of it, and of course, if you're in the market, keep us in mind for purchases. After paying our taxes the other night, I really do need to build up some reserves to get us just a tiny bit ahead of the eight-ball of bills.
