Now posted at The NDN Silver Blog, it's a collection in miniature of small but powerful spirits of summer, rare now but still appearing occasionally to deliver beauty and guidance. These are traditional beings wrought to pay tribute to old ways: messengers and medicine at once, here to let us know that, in the face of extreme hardships and changed circumstances, still we have cause for hanging onto hope.
