Long hours and lots of work.

More work in progress. The image of a paint horse is much on both our minds for obvious reasons these days, so for Wings that translates to getting it out via his work. This one should be ready in a day or two, as well as a couple of the two-stone rings and an upside-down cuff in the same sort of off-set style as the rings. He's also got two or three commissions in the pipeline, and we're gearing up for his holiday inventory now. Which, of course, means long hours and lots of work.

And in between there's all the heavy physical labor. Wings has been edging and mulching the trees one at a time, prepping for winter, but that got derailed today because a coyote (or possibly a bear), after trying to dig up one of the chickens last week, apparently dug a big hole in Miskwaki's grave last night. He had to haul and shovel dirt into it and then cover it again to keep them from being able to get at the soil. Which reminds me, I added an item to the Amazon wishlist: aheavy-duty wheelbarrow. Our old one has been patched and repaired and things on it replaced until it just can't be done anymore. He needs one for the heavy stuff, like this, but they're hideously expensive, so it's on the list for now.

Oh, and as I said earlier, I also have those new BIG works I promised last week, posted here last Thursday. They're absolutely phenomenal, and selling either or both would take care of everything at the moment, but I don't expect that to happen. So we need all the help we can get. All the links are here; please, share them:

We're still hoping to put aside enough for a new well when the ground thaws enough to drill in the spring, too, Nah, we've given up on the well. No one's available to drill before late next year at the earliest, and this year's tax burden means we would never be able to afford it anyway. But it's even more of a good time to make a purchase, because Uncle Sam is a vindictive colonizer, and my current stress levels about paying it all are off the charts. And there's lots of fabulous work, so please share all of the links.
