A little magic, somehow.

The chickens have a secret path past the rocks, where the grasses and plants close over them until they come out the other side. And all this time, I never knew.

It's one of those funny things you notice that seems like a little magic, somehow — like summer was when we were kids, full of all kinds of wonderful possibilities. Fitting for June first, especially since this is day 3 of absolutely near-perfect start-of-summer weather.

::Sigh:: but we are not kids anymore, and we have to deal with everything the adult world throws at us, and right now, it's a lot.

We've gotten the latest of the medical stuff out of the way, although it's set us back several hundred dollars in cash . . . and set us up for several hundred more dollars in costs four weeks from now, and potentially several thousand thereafter.

But we have to do it. With our health issues, there isn't a choice. His, fortunately, are mostly maintenance at this point; mine are the ones that are threatening to bankrupt us. Again.

So. On top of the taxes, the chimney cleaning, the change in our Web hosting that I need to get set this weekend to change in the coming week, the need to replace my dying laptop, and all the other nonsense? Four figures' worth of medical bills coming up fast. Speaking of needing a little magic somehow . . . .

We've GOT to make sales now.  Desperately.  I need help; I can't do this alone.

I've put up a bunch of new work lately; there's more to come, including a new cuff probably tomorrow, and several new pairs of simple bezel-set gemstone earrings over the next few days. And as always, all the regular links are listed below. I've added some new items to the wish list; we're almost out of masks, and we both have to wear them in every interaction with anyone else; I've also found a hand soap that doesn't make my hands bleed, and while it's pricey, one bottle each in bathroom and kitchen lasts over a month apiece, even with how frequently we have to wash our hands given the work we do around here. But as always, sales are by far the most important:

  • Sales here
  • Testimonials here
  • Amazon wishlist here (apparently the FlexTape is also the priority now, so I'm told; otherwise, Amazon cards and the filters for the air purifiers);
  • Patreon here;
  • Ko-fi here.

After such a grim 2023, and with this year starting off MUCH worse (and given that we're already approaching the half-way mark), we really need to get 2024 onto a better footing, so please share all of the links.
