Sometimes you catch a process shot that's just perfect. I didn't know about it until a few days ago, but here were three cuffs that Wings was unhappy with; not the quality of them, but a nagging feeling that they were incomplete. They were all solid silver, with incredible silverwork, but he felt they needed stones, so they're out of inventory for the moment, getting self-actualized.
The one in this photo is getting a freeform cab of absolutely extraordinary ultra-high-grade black-web Kingman. The color of the stone itself is . . . well, have you seen examples of bluing? Th color that results when whites are soaked in indigo? Not turquoise, not teal, somewhere between the two with a hint of royal? That's this stone. You'll see the result [plus the other two, one set with green Northern Lights turquoise, the other with ultra-high-grade Royal Web variscite] probably tomorrow.
Anyway, it's been a day. I woke feeling like a Mack truck had run over me repeatedly until it managed to accordion all my joints. They have not returned to anything remotely approaching normal, not even my stupid normal, all day. The pain is the kind that makes it hard to breathe, and my workload today is absurd. It will be for the rest of the week, too, because on top of everything else, I've got to get our taxes done and wrapped up and to the accountant this week, without fail.
Which means I'll have no time for anything else. I'm sorry, but that includes anyone wanting mutual-aid help who's not willing to post it publicly. I'm no good to anyone if I'm hospitalized or worse, and that's where this is heading if I don't halt it now. I did manage to get those three new works up two nights ago, here, here, and here. They're all phenomenal, and given how badly we need to make some sales right now, I hope they all find their homes before I even have a chance to feature them. Because the last five months, pushing six now, have been this way, nonstop, and I'm still not caught up on housework, taxes, OR sales. Which is not good, because we still have to bring in sales weekly to break even. To that end, links are here:
