And here I thought everybody was taking the day off to celebrate my birthday. I celebrated by getting a stew started this morning, and ordering the glucose test strips off the wish list this afternoon, but don't expect them for over a week. Oh, and I sent a box out a couple of days ago, has the damn labradorites, as well as a few nicer stones in it, along with sundries.
ReplyDeleteOh, jeez, I wish we'd known it was your birthday! Well, happy belated one, anyway!
DeleteThe box arrived yesterday, actually. LOL - everything but the cocoa survived it, although it was all dusted with brown powder. Something - no idea what; something sharp - punched through the side of the box in transit, and fortunately, it went into the cocoa can, with the result that everything was covered in it, but nothing fell out of the box or was otherwise damaged. Also, that salami was a lifesaver - we'd both been on the run all day, and when Wings took 'em out of the box, he opened one and the crackers up immediately (and they are great).
Also, the labradorites? Fire. He loves 'em. Yeah, you have to hold them to the light to get the full effect, but compared to most of what we see, these are pretty spectacular. He's already plotting pieces for them. The others are pretty fabulous, too, especially that massive dendritic agate. He's having a blast with them, so thank you, from both of us!
[She-Wolf thanks you for the test strips, too. She's on her last vial (about two weeks' worth left), so the timing couldn't be better. Almost 2.5 years post-DX, and she still has most of her sight (knocks wood).]
