Chonks.

Looks like the prairie dogs are chonks again this year.

That's the first one I've seen sit long enough to get a photo. They know the dogs are around, and the coyotes, too, so they haven't shown themselves much yet. But look at the size of that butt compared to the size of his head.

Not that I can talk. And it looks like one of the new med's common side effects is packing on pounds. That's not why I've gone off it — if I were willing to go off meds purely for that reason, I'd still be thin — but I stopped it last night. Aside from messing with my sleep patterns, it was starting to affect my balance, along with a whole host of other things, and it was no longer working on the pain [at all], which was the whole reason for trying the damn thing in the first place. So that's a nope.

Of course, it's put me further behind than ever.  And it's been mostly a spectacularly lousy weekend; endless work, and endless technical problems that are not my fault and which I cannot fix, and my frustration levels are epic right now. It's made worse by the fact that sales are so horribly slow, and I don't know how we make it through the year if that doesn't change, and fast.

So I have got to get us caught up on this awful year, but there's no getting blood, or money, from a stone. Those two new pairs of earrings I am determined will go up later tonight [::sigh:: no, they're STILL not up, because see above], and there's a ton of newish work on the site. I am buying exactly nothing, not even the wishlist items we need, because I have to save every cent right now. If people want to donate, I want them to help one of the folks from the group who are so much worse off than we are. If they want to buy Wings's work, that's a different matter entirely, and I will happily sell them anything; and frankly, if they want to take a couple items off our wishlist, or shoot us an Amazon card or two, that's the other thing that would help most. To that end, links are here:

  • Sales here
  • Testimonials here
  • Amazon wishlist here [priorities are the chile and traditional wild rice, both of which are at the top, and the liquid soaps];
  • Patreon here;
  • Ko-fi here.
And we do still need to make those regular weekly sales, so please share all of the links. We really do need to get this year onto a better footing than the last two, and so far, it's been very grim.
