Medicine Drops

Now posted at The NDN Silver Blog, it's one of Wings's newer collections, packed with medicine and modestly priced. These are the remaining half of a promotional set of a dozen charms he created a couple of months ago, and he's decided to put these little silver medicine drops on offer in our regular inventory at the same price (they are actually no small amount of work to create, and future iterations will be more in line with his customary price points).

Snow, ice, and frozen septic lines. Widespread shares needed.

No new pix again tonight. I'm wiped. Cough is better, though, so there's that.

We now have the info on the front door. If we order it now, we can have it by early January. That's what his workload is like; he's popular. Also reasonably priced, especially for solid wood. Also half down again, natch. But most of all, I have to worry about the windows and other doors; they'll be coming in within the next two weeks, and we have to pay the full balance at that time.

So, what we need, and badly:

• One last thing: I mentioned above that the plumbers are coming, and bathroom-fixture purchases are in the offing. To that end, I've added Lowes gift cards to our Amazon wishlist. No, there's no Lowes here in Taos, but there's one an hour-plus away in Española. Less obnoxious than Home Depot, and an actual selection and discount pricing that are not available here in town. It's by far the most cost-efficient way for us to buy the fixtures and appliances and sundry other items needed to make a house habitable.

Thanks to everyone for your help thus far. We are going to need to push through this, hard, fast, and and consistently. Winter is here: Snow, ice, bitter cold, and a septic system that freezes nightly because it was misinstalled all those years ago. Please give us a hand with consistent daily shares to a wide audience.

New Bird

Here, she is the new bird: leery, inquisitive, skittish, hopeful. Perhaps she has lost her way, or perhaps she detoured deliberately. She has returned a half-dozen times today, seemingly finding this a safe space for her solitary self.

If she returns tomorrow, she will no longer be so new.

It's been . . . a week, and it's not over yet. Still sick; too tired to post any other photos tonight. It's also going to very cold again tonight, and snow's predicted for tomorrow, as well as Monday and Tuesday.
