More slick finish. HUGE expenses upcoming. Shares needed.

Now you can see the difference between the slick finish and the float finish.

Below, you can see what a great job they're doing around the spiral posts, and you can also see the mica showing through.

Sherm apparently will be off Thursday and Friday, and if so, he'll be back with his guys then to get a jump on next weekend's work on the interior. They're behind because of the Structo problem, and a slick finish requires a lot more meticulousness, but it's moving without interruption while they're here. Also Thursday, Philip will be here to lath the upper-level exterior, preparatory to beginning the plaster either next weekend or the following Monday.

Bright an early tomorrow morning, the plumbers come to excavate and begin the septic system install. We've already given them $4K toward that; when they finish (potentially as early as Tuesday), we'll be giving them the remaining $4,100. And all of this will just about wipe us out, and there's a long way to go, so we're back to needing regular shares. Links are here:
First, to donate, the PayPal link is hereSecond, for sales (which we really need to make, and I'll be highlighting some of his high-end stuff on the site this week), the link to Wings's site (preferably with a testimonial, if you have some of his work), because sales are gonna keep this thing rolling. And finally, the link to our wishlist (which badly needs updating), with an emphasis on the Lowe's gift cards, because those are what will help us pay for all the stuff that will make this place liveable, like a water heater and flooring and so forth.
I'm given to understand that Karen has made, or mostly made, her moving expenses goal, and that Lauralee has gotten a temporary reprieve from the court. There's another match on for Karen right now, to finish out the moving expenses and, as I understand it, give her a little breathing room for incidentals and maybe a start toward the next phase of what she needs for what I find myself thinking of as her "survival fund." I'm sure Lauralee can also still use the scratch while she makes whatever arrangements can be made for herself, her daughters, and their dog, so her link is here.
Many thanks and much love to everyone. I'm slammed again this week; almost no time for anything, and way behind on multiple tasks, including stuff house-related and not. Basically, expect to see me if and when you see me; I'll try to post photos of the progress in the evenings, but it may be mostly cut-and-paste.
