How a piece of scrap silver becomes a work of art. It was a length of sterling silver triangle wire, not long enough for a cuff for most adults, but too heavy a gauge for a child's cuff. He began stamping it experimentally, just trying out a design, and it worked, and now it's becoming something.
So was the rest of this day. Yet more dental stuff for Wings, with more to come next week. He's still dealing with excruciating pain, and the limits that it places on what he can eat, which are all the problematic because he's diabetic. He's also dealing with added complication from infection, which I warned the visiting dentist about, but he insisted antibiotics weren't needed, which of course was wrong; fortunately, the regular dentist took care of that on Tuesday. But it's yet one more problem for him to deal with, and it's doubly difficult when he can't eat properly. We're both exhausted, and this added situation is not alleviating that at all.
And through it all, there's the constant drumbeat of demands on us both. In financial terms that stops now; until this year's taxes are paid, and next year's prepaid, because I'm not going through this again, there will be no money for anything but our baseline needs and other bills. No donations. Period. We don't have it.
Somehow, I have to bring in sales. This is what they used to call the drop-dead moment in a process or dynamic, and we're at it. If you're in the market, now would be a really, REALLY good time. I posted four new pairs of earrings a few nights ago, here, all at lower price points than his usual, and three new all-silver cuffs, here. Presumably the naja in process above will be available soon, too. And as always, all the regular links are listed below, with sales, as always, being the most important:
- Sales here;
- Testimonials here;
- Amazon wishlist here ( we'll always need the dog treats for the monsters, and Amazon and Lowe's cards [the Lowe's cards are probably going to have to go on a new fridge, so I'm hoarding them]);
- Patreon here;
- Ko-fi here.
After such a grim 2023, and with this year starting off MUCH worse, we really need to get 2024 moving onto a better footing, so please share all of the links.
