#TBT: Amid Mourning and Remembrance, Medicine

It's #ThrowbackThursday at The NDN Silver Blog, with a work from somewhere around a decade and a half ago that was an early iteration in one of Wings's most popular, and most meaningful, signature series. It's a bold cuff in the form of twinned eagle feathers, set with an old, old square of desert sky, a work to remind us of the truth that there is to be found, amid mourning and remembrance, medicineof the old ways, of the spirits, of the ancestors  and the teachings for which we, in our way, give thanks every day.

The post is here. Wings's main page is here. This work obviously will never be duplicated exactly, but if the style speaks to your spirit, simply inquire via the site's Contact form; Wings can create a version uniquely your own. We got some very good news a couple of weeks ago, and so we will be able to cover November's monthly expenses and some additional costs, like the hay for the horses and hopefully the plumbing problem too. But there's still the process of figuring out this water/well-drilling problem, and winter is coming back very shortly. And since neither the drought nor the pandemic is going anywhere, we are still going to need consistent sales to make it through the whole winter (which, if the political sphere goes sideways again, will be bitter indeed for our communities), so shares of the site links are much appreciated.
