I promised a new work by Wings for today, and here it is.

All right, I promised a new work by Wings for today, and here it is: a brand-new cuff bracelet wrought in a traditional style, with his signature heavy freehand stampwork and a truly extraordinary focal stone. This is called The Waters of Life, and it's nothing short of amazing. I wanted you to see the stone, which is an old, old freeform Number Eight cab from his private collection, with a beautifully rolling surface.

I also want you to see the stampwork, especially on these impossibly narrow edges, with the crescents chased down each side from end to end. That's somewhere between 160 and 180 strikes of the jeweler's hammer (I kept losing count between the two, but it's at least the former and probably the latter). Heavy-gauge half-round, stampwork tracing down the convex surface, more stampwork on the inner band. You can read the full description here.

Wings's main page is here. Inquiries via the site's Contact formWe badly need to make consistent sales to make it through this third year of pandemic and loss (and a spectacularly costly couple of months, with much more to come), so shares of the site links are much appreciated.
