That's what the skies looked like this afternoon and evening. It's smoke frm a controlled [not prescribed" burn, altough how well controlled it actually is is anybody's guess. It's in the Santa Fe National Forest, allegedly sparked by a lightning strike, and they decided they would "control" it. We all know how well that worked out with Hermit's Peak and Calf Canyon.

Anyway, tonight's Berry Moon is now a blood moon, courtesy of all the smoke.

And on top of that, it has been a day.  And also a week. And the week's not over yet. We had to go out of town today, always a dicey proposition for me anymore, but all the more so when I only fall asleep sometime after 6 AM and then wake every 10 minutes thereafter. I'm on virtually no sleep at all, in other words, and it's nearly midnight and I'm barely getting to the stuff that I should've been able to do well before noon.

We had to take some paperwork to our credit union; had to run a couple of other errands, and we still don't know whether the well tank is in or not; Wings is going in to see him in person again tomorrow morning. We need this thing in and DONE; the new pressure-pump assembly began burning out after something like three days [so the old tank must be completely shot], and that's only getting worse, and I would really, really like to get that taken care of before we lose water agai, especially in this kind of heat. Of course, all that expense to come means that we still need shares, and we most definitely still need sales, several grand's worth of sales, until I can get everything covered that has to get covered. Which means I have to get caught up on the work somehow. Links are here:

After such a grim year last year, and the first half of this one at least as bad, we urgently need to move 2025 onto a better footing, because taxes to this Nazi administration have already tapped us out and we still owe more anyway, so please share all of the links.
