It's here.

It's here, a day early. Which completely effed up our whole schedule today, but the UPS driver was kind enough to push it up the slope and leave it outside the kitchen door.

It's very small [which is not surprising, given how cheap it was, but it's what we could afford]. Actually, the dead one was small, but not this small; we only have about a 31" space, and that one was 28". This one is 20", and it's also much, much shorter, maybe a foot higher than the back of the stove. No bells and whistles, but after the problems the so-called ice-maker [leak-maker, more like] caused in our old Whirlpool one, neither of us cares.

The bigger problem today was the physical labor involved, because we had to haul the old one out, and then get this one in the door and into its spot. I'm going to be good for absolutely nothing for the rest of the week, because the way my pain levels have been lately, adding this nonsense onto it is going to flatten me. [And today was also chemo day, but whatever. I'm having to accept the fact that I'm probably never going to feel actually good again; those days are gone.]

Anyway, at least we have a working fridge.  And we got out of it without having to throw out much in the way of damaged food. Now I just need to figure out how to get the old one hauled way. the hell of it is, it still works . . . sort of.  Freezer compartment works great. the problem seems to be within the recirculating air vents, but we can't fix it; it would cost more than the old one was worth to fix it, and it's just been one problem after another from jump anyway. We just need it gone.

And I need to get my own work done, and get these stupid taxes off my desk. Needless to say, the last week has made it almost impossible to do anything on them, and today? You're joking, right? So I'm going to try to pull an all-nighter tonight to work on them, but given my fatigue levels and general lack of sleep lately, that might not be doable.

The wind and pollen aren't helping with everything else, either. I've been working flat out all last week, the weekend, and now into the rest of this week, and I'll be doing it in the middle of this god-awful flare, which means that I'll have no time [or energy, or functionality] for anything else until all this is off my desk. Period. I'm sorry, but that includes anyone wanting mutual-aid help who's not willing to post it publicly. I'm no good to anyone if I'm hospitalized or worse, and that's where this is heading if I don't halt it now. Because the last five, six months have been this way, nonstop, and I'm still not caught up on housework, taxes, OR sales. Which is not good, because we still have to bring in sales weekly to break even. To that end, links are here:

  • Sales here
  • Testimonials here
  • Amazon wishlist here [and to whomever sent a bunch of stuff off it that arrived today, THANK YOU; there were no purchaser inserts with the items, zip, zero, nada];
  • Patreon here;
  • Ko-fi here.
And we do still need to make those regular weekly sales, so please share all of the links. We really do need to get this year onto a better footing than the last two, and so far, it's been pretty grim.
