The Icy Iridescence of the Winter Light

Now posted at The NDN Silver Blog, it's a work for a world caught between the unseasonal conditions of late spring's thaw and the golden shades of fall: early frost and sunset fire, a world still too warm beneath the heat of the sun. It's a medicine shield for a world that needs the medicine of our newly wintry conditions, of sun turning snow to silver and grass to gold, of evergreen and remnant leaves limned in the icy iridescence of the winter light.
