That's some of Wings's OLD work — thirty, probably closer to forty years ago. All of these conchas are hand-rolled coins, the old way. Back then, he didn't even have a rolling mill; one of the other silversmiths at the Pueblo allowed Wings to use his. Then it was all freehand stampwork atop each one. They're beautiful, really classic old-style work. He stumbled across them a few days ago in a box when he was looking for something else.
I suspect you might see modern versions of some of his old designs soon.
It has been a day, and then some, which is why everything's late. On the very good, very welcome front, TWO sales yesterday! And so I spent the morning getting those items, plus a third order that's been in the works a while, packed for shipping. They're all on their way; then it was of to the pharmacy, which is not open on weekends, and so Friday afternoons are a nightmare. Ten people ahead of me in line [and by the time I got to the front of the line, another 10 or so behind me]. And, of course there was the ~$250 cash outlay on four scrips, two for each of us.
It's ridiculous, but it is what it is.
Which seems to apply to everything now. Which would be funny if it weren't so dangerous, but the problem is that it's all deadly. And it goes a long way toward explaining why sales are so low this year, but coming on top of last year's slow pace and absurdly high expenses [a pattern repeating this year, with the well pump and taxes only the first two of many that are looming], it's not good. I need to sell a lot more over the next few days to cover everything we're going to have to cover these next couple of weeks. We still have to get the well guy out here. I still have to get those damn taxes organized and submitted, and, of course, paid, and this year has already been so damn costly [following, as I said, on a hugely expensive year last year that was perhaps our worst sales year ever]. And I've resented them a lot in my life, but never so much as I do right this moment. But there's no choice in the matter, which means chasing sales to cover it all. So now would be a really, really good time to buy, because I really, really need to bring in more income this week. We're out of time.

After such a grim year last year, and this one beginning at least as badly, we urgently need to move 2025 onto a better footing before taxes take every last cent, so please share all of the links.
