Softer edges to the day.

Gentle gray clouds this morning. They're disappearing now as the wind begins to rise, but at least for this morning, it felt like there were softer edges to the day.

There's no chance of them holding any rain, of course. The tulips are already emerging two months early, and it remains to be seen whether they'll survive, given that we'll have plenty of freezing temps, and, of course, not any real possibility of precipitation. 

We need literal rain, and we desperately need the metaphorical kind right now, too. With sales so low this year, coming on top of last year's slow pace and absurdly high expenses [a pattern repeating this year, with the well pump and taxes only the first two of many that are looming], I can't do anything but chase them now [and, of course, get the taxes organized and to the preparer, which means I will have no time left for anything but those two items this week]. I need to sell a lot more over the next few days to cover everything we're going to have to cover these next couple of weeks. I've resented taxes a lot in my life, but never so much as I do right this moment, but there's no choice in the matter. So now would be a really, really good time to buy, because I really, really need to bring in more income this week. We're out of time.
