A surprise new work by Wings.

Given everything else going on, including all the chaos and havoc created by the winds and the drought, this was unexpected: a surprise new work by Wings.

When I say "surprise," I don't mean the existence of the work itself, just that it was completed late today; I hadn't really expected it for another day or two. It's called This Is Our Path, and this one is an absolute masterpiece of freehand saw-work, every bit of it cut out without guides or anything but a saw with a vanishingly-thin blade. and the edges filed smooth and rounded by hand as well. It's an arrow, and the point and the fletched feathers nearly meet in a perfect hoop.
