Strange skies. Fitting, I guess, for strange days. Except they're not so strange; even evil has a certain predictability about it. Spirit knows he world has more than enough evil to go around, and plenty of predictability right now, too.

I am beat. Today was Miika's farrier work, which requires sedation, hence the vet. I didn't even have to be out there more than a short while, but the whole thing is exhausting. And expensive.

And we have to wait until tomorrow for the septic cleanout, so I hope everything's okay until then. I've also paid the insurance and utility bills, some of the platform stuff, and . . . I can't even remember right now, something else, but it's been a hideously expensive work, pushing $2K by the time it's all added up, all out the door in cash. And we still have taxes upcoming. The leach field disaster. All the interim septic pumping between now and then. My Patreon is still $250 short, and we've made exactly one sale so far this year. And at some point, I've got to start thinking about mobility, since I'm having so much trouble being on my feet for any length of time.

The need to make at least one sale a week never lets up, no more than the physical pain that makes everything so much more impossible. We were blessed with one the first week of the year, but now I need to do the same for this one, as well as make up for the lack of one last week.
