Pollen, pollen everywhere.

That was first thing this morning. Also first thing this morning was something we have not had in two years: a true first day of spring, as marked by the first meadowlark's song. I couldn't lay eyes on the meadowlark, but it's pollen, pollen everywhere, and dust and wind and blustery cold. It's miserable. And of course no rain.

We have been to the post office and sent a monster-sized (yet still only partial) payment to the government that wold just as soon see us dead. [Sorry, you cannot have a COVID policy of letting Indigenous people die and us come to any other but that painfully obvious conclusion; then again, y'all's prez is being stealing our water and land and letting them steal our kids again, so don't talk to me about how decent he is because he's not.] Now I have to come up with the rest. Even more worrying is how I come up with the quarterly prepayments for '23, because there's no way we're going to have it.

It's also the 12th anniversary of our little Grubster Girl leaving us, so-called because she made a big production of being dainty and fragile but got into EVERYTHING, the filthier, the better. She learned how to ride the back of the ATV with Wings while I was away for five weeks helping an ill friend, and she was fine when I left [or so we thought]; when I returned, the cancer cluster that steals dogs and horses here had made itself known throughout her body, and she lasted only two more weeks. It was very late at night, me sitting on the bitterly cold floor of that toxic tin can of an RV, holding her in my lap while her little body wound itself down, and . . . it was such a hard one for me, albeit thankfully mostly not so for her. But my ND brain, always one for certain types of memories, won't let me forget.

I posted Wings's two [then-]newest here the other day, the sale of which would help a small fraction, but nowhere near enough. I've also got two new pairs of earrings (technically three, but Wings wants to clean up an edge on one) and a wristband that I'm STILL hoping to get posted by tonight. Yes, I know I keep saying that, but the rest of the world's demands keep derailing it. Anyway, all of our links are here; BIG emphasis on sales for now:

  • Sales here
  • Testimonials here
  • Amazon wishlist here (new priority, because this week I've been forced to eliminate another staple from my diet just to function rather minimally, and someone mentioned that perhaps our old non-stick pans, which are in fact long since well beyond their useful date, are making the matter worse, so there's a non-PFAS replacement set at the top that would help with cooking/cleanup/my hands/my illness; and yes, the Zero-Odor sprays are still useful right now, although these days it's dusty dogs, not wet ones);
  • Patreon here;
  • Ko-fi here.

There's lots of fabulous work on the site, so please share all of the links.
