The kingbirds are here in force this year — the whole clan is camped out on the red willow branches and the chicken-wire fence. Now that the tanagers are here, too, we seem to have the full complement of golden birds of spring and summer: both of them, plus the siskins, and the goldfinches, and at least one female evening grosbeak. Still waiting on our first butterflies, though. That's probably mostly due to the fact that it was still only forty-one degrees at ten o'clock this morning; we've had several nights in a row below freezing now.
Not a single cloud in the sky anywhere all day today, though. Plenty of smoke haze to the west from neighboring states, but no clouds, and our air, at least, remained pretty clear. I could go outside without masking and not have my asthma kick up.
The subluxes are another matter entirely. My right shoulder is still a mess, as are my neck, my right hand, my ribs, and both feet. Unfortunately, these are not like ordinary joint dislocations; I can't just have them put back in place. They have to resolve themselves on their own, and that can be anywhere from a few hours to several months. If you remember what I was dealing with year some years back when they put me on the baseline lupus drug, they didn't resolve until I went off the damn thing, so essentially a whole year of crippling, unresolvable pain. I have to find out this week whether I stay on the chemo at this dose or not. And then, of course, there's all the rest of it, and I have no idea what's going to come out of that this week. I'm not looking forward to it, not the labs, not the cost and definitely not the possible outcomes, but here we are.
On the other front, it appears that we will be okay [for a while; until the next round of payments and repairs is required] after tomorrow, but we still need shares, and we most definitely still need weekly sales, until I can get everything covered that has to get covered [and that will be a good long while]. I don't get any breaks from that, either. Links are here:

After such a grim year last year, and this one beginning at least as badly, we urgently need to move 2025 onto a better footing because taxes to this Nazi administration have already tapped us out and we still owe more anyway, so please share all of the links.
