Heartbreakingly beautiful.

Sometimes morning here is just heartbreakingly beautiful.

No time to enjoy it this morning, though; we had to be in town early. By late morning, the sun had been replaced by snowclouds above the peaks and gray skies overhead, but we got nothing out of it, although they still say there's hope for tonight. Either way, I'm just glad to be home; being on my feet on hard surfaces, standing in lines, lots of walking, is extremely painful anymore, and the last five days have been one long exacerbation as it is. Last night was the worst, another episode with no identifiable trigger but some new symptoms to go with it, and I'm exhausted beyond words now.

But I still have to get all my work done tonight.

And speaking of things I have to get done yet tonight, just another $25 will put Jen's crowdfunding effort at the 50% mark! Ideally, I'd like to get her way past that by tomorrow morning. We can do that tonight, right? And please don't forget about her; please continue to share the link. Because Jen's truck is suddenly in URGENT need of two major things: a transmission rebuild, and four new tires. She's gone through the laborious process of getting multiple estimates and figuring out who's trustworthy and what she can reasonably expect. Which, of course, is mid-high four figures. And you can donate to help defray the $6,300 cost and get her back to doing what she does so incredibly well, which is help dogs in need. Jen is the one who organized the rescue of Emmy, the deaf Pyrenees that was caught in traffic a couple of weeks ago, and also Fetty, the poor pibble boy who'd been shot in the head [literally!] and abandoned, who she helped get to safety last week. It's his photo in the Spotfund image, and he's doing amazingly well now. You can donate here.

And I'm still playing catch-up on everything else, which is complicated by my worsening symptoms now. For now, I've gotten the monthly bills off my desk [except one, I think, which comes later], but we still have to bring in steady, regular sales al month long [and way beyond]. It used to be one a week would even out over the course of the year, and typically keep us going, but after last year and this, and all the catastrophic expense, that's no longer true; I need to bring in a few a week, at least for a good while yet. I still have to be able to pay the rest of this year's taxes and start prepaying next year's; I can't go through this again for another year in a row. I also have to cover the well pump replacement, the tires and another repair on the truck, and there are family things coming up that we'll have to help with one way or another. And Spirit only knows what's waiting for me health-wise, but I have to think in those terms, too, no matter how much I want to avoid it.

So. We still need shares, and we most definitely still need sales. As in now, today, every day for a while, until I can get everything covered that has to get covered. Links are here:

  • Sales here
  • Testimonials here
  • Amazon wishlist here (Priorities are Amazon gift cards, which we can ALWAY use, and the filters for the air purifiers, which are doing double-duty right now with our record-high pollen levels this spring. I've added bandages for Wings for his knee wraps [and they get used on Miika, too] as well as a disinfecting unit to use on food items, since we no longer have safety controls or inspections on food, and a pair of power scissors for breaking down the recycling, since my hands are useless now);
  • Patreon here;
  • Ko-fi here.

After such a grim year last year, and this one beginning at least as badly, we urgently need to move 2025 onto a better footing because taxes to this Nazi administration have already taken every last cent and we still owe them more anyway, so please share all of the links.
