#TBT: A Flowering Ancestral Spirit

It's #ThrowbackThursday at The NDN Silver Blog, and today, we go back a scant two months to a flowering ancestral spirit, one that turned what began as a commission into a gift (for us as much as for the recipients). It's a work that melds together the spirits of a dear friend's grandparents, turned into our friend's gift for their daughter, her mother.

The post is here. Wings's main page is here. All of Wings's work is one of a kind, but this is one that is truly singular. However, if the concept of turning an heirloom into such a work speaks to your spirit, Wings can always create something wholly unique and individual to you and your loved ones in a different motif; simply inquire via the site's Contact form. And, as always, sales are much needed, so shares of the site links are much appreciated.

  1. Very nice :) I just realized that some stones didn't make it into that last box, I've got another small (slightly lopsided) 'seascape', one that seems to portray the entrance to a cave mouth on a dreary day (in the online pic, it was pale pinks and light blues, in reality it's muddy browns and a dark grey, sigh), a 'botswana' agate that looks kind of like an eye, and another round 'fire' agate in shades of red and black. Oh, and what I'm hoping is a nice apache sage rhyolite should be on the way here as well, to add to those when the next box goes out. I'll have to pick up a few more of those salami, then, if they go over so well. I've still got another box's worth of soup, but it's pretty much all the chicken and wild rice, and I thought you might be getting pretty bored of that by now. The store where I was buying the soup went out of business, so I picked up all they had left, which admittedly wasn't too much.
