It's the first Monday August, and this week's photo meditation at The NDN Silver Blog is one that reflects one often-overlooked aspect of this ceremonial season. Today's images by Wings come from two sources, one a bit unusual: One, of course, is from his one-man show of last year, but the other two are art shots he took of two traditional pieces that we once had in inventory, placing them squarely within a cultural context, both literally and metaphorically. I've always loved both images, for their artistic value, of course, but even more for the cultural traditions they represent and reflect, and for their reminder that we engage in ceremony every day of our lives.
The post is here. Wings's main page is here. As always, photos are available in any of the usual three formats; simply inquire via the Contact form. Also as always, shares of the site links are much needed and much appreciated.
