The skies have been hard at work all day: building new worlds, indeed. This one, allegedly, will ultimately be built of snow. 

We can only hope.

Nothing coming out of the sky yet, but the clouds show every sign of cooperating. The weather people are issuing dire warnings about "major winter storm," and now predicted, instead of less than an inch, four inches of snow.

I remember when "major winter storm" here meant four feet. This is climate collapse, though, so we'll take what we can get.

We are, in relative terms, taking it easy today; lots of work that needs doing and is getting done, but lots that's also being bumped to tomorrow. Of course, we will still (always) need to make sales, and there are plenty of gift-giving events coming up in this new year. If you're looking for places to donate to folks who need it, watch this space and my other online spaces, because I'll be highlighting them in the weeks to come. Much of the country has just been through a deadly storm, and there's an even more deadly pandemic still raging, utterly unchecked; lots of folks in our various communities are going to need long-term help.
