Now posted at The NDN Silver Blog, it's this week's entry in our ongoing Tuesday series on Jewels and Gems. Today's featured gem is one that is, in terms both local and literal, a truly indigenous gift of the earth. It's also one of my favorites, one I've been holding off on covering until now, when it could be paired with other "earthy" entries like the photographic one from yesterday.
